Freya is deeply interested in understanding psychological trauma and associated treatment approaches. In particular, (but by no means exclusively) she has a passion for assisting those who have suffered sexual abuse and other forms of childhood abuse, neglect, or loss. These experiences often result in great difficulty regulating emotions, and forming a healthy relationship with the self and others.
The combination of incredible recent advances in neurobiology and trauma research and the exposure of the western science to the wisdom of eastern traditions, has resulted in an unbelievably exciting landscape for the field of psychology. Freya has gathered an extensive collection of integrative and evidence-based tools to offer her clients in their journey towards growth through trauma, acceptance through loss, and compassion within ones own relationship with self. Freya is in awe of witnessing greater self-compassion and emotional mastery emerge in her clients.

Nil is a qualified counsellor offering sessions online and in-person at Speakeasy.
Nil’s approach is grounded in the notion that the work of therapy is not about fixing brokenness, but rather accessing the innate self-knowledge and inherent wholeness that we all possess. We can too easily lose sight of this through our turbulent journeys, when life’s hard times feel all-encompassing and defining. These sessions are an opportunity to re-find your authentic self, work through challenges, and move with confidence and clarity towards the future.
When working with couples, Nil collaborates equally with both parties to make sense of where a relationship is at in this moment and what has brought it to this place. With deep sensitivity and care, the work guides understanding of the unique layers and complexities of a relationship to find a way forward. This is a no-blame approach.
Nil’s sessions are founded on deep listening, respect, empathy and compassion, centring you as the expert in your life. Nil works with the body (somatic practices), nervous system (polyvagal), parts therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness, breath practices and more. She is an accredited counsellor with postgraduate qualifications and has completed Specialist Integrative Couples Therapy training at Relationships Australia Victoria. Feel free to get in touch at
